First release of onion-lookup version 0.1 - gathering metadata from Tor onion addresses
Oct 8, 2024 • Team CIRCL
We announce the release of onion-lookup v0.1. This powerful tool is designed to help you search for Tor hidden services - .onion services quickly and efficiently. With its sleek API and user-friendly online interface, onion-lookup simplifies the process of querying and exploring onion addresses without browsing Tor using an AIL instance.
Release version 0.1 includes the following functionalities:
- API Access: Easily integrate onion-lookup into your workflows with our fully unrestricted API.
- Onion Service Lookup: Effortlessly search for .onion domains across the Tor network.
- Online Access: Available without restriction via our website at https://onion.ail-project.org/.
Whether you are a researcher, investigator, or cybersecurity professional, Onion-Lookup v0.1 will enhance your ability to search for historical information and classification of existing Tor hidden services. The Tor services are automatically labeled with tags from infoleak or darkweb MISP taxonomies.
